What is hedonism?

Hedonism [Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy]

Philosophers commonly distinguish between psychological hedonism and ethical hedonism. Psychological hedonism is the view that humans are psychologically constructed in such a way that we exclusively desire pleasure. Ethical hedonism is the view that our fundamental moral obligation is to maximize pleasure or happiness.

That means any kind of pleasure, keeping in mind the consequences that follow with each pleasure. Ramona is wrong, it is not simply "self" pleasure. One must admit that there is pleasure in, say, helping others.
