Wow. This was random, but I had no idea that there was another person lurking inside of my Quantum Mind scan. Here is the same sketch rotated 180 degrees and re-colored: The Quantum Mind Inverse.

What a Quantum Mind looks like.

Pick up a sketchbook, buy set of pencils, scan in your drawing, put it on its own layer in photoshop, change the layer's combine settings to "Multiply" (On the Layers Toolbox) and then put layers underneath and play w/ the airbrush. It's so simpo!

EducationGuardian.co.uk | Higher | The Global Mind: "Now, imagine the Earth as a brain; humans - perhaps all life - as brain cells; and a network of Random Event Generators (REGs, like high-speed, electronic coin tossers) as electrodes. This is the Global Consciousness Project and it appears to be measuring, well _ something. Begun in 1998, it now involves more than 75 networked computers known as Eggs ('electrogaiagrams') in about 30 countries, including the US, UK (two), Russia, Fiji, Cuba and Romania. "

Noosphere? n00p?

The Global Mind: "The next stage in evolution (in fact the current one) is a socialization, the development of a Noosphere, consisting in a continuously progressing integration of the individual mind contents. This process culminates into a global or universal unanimity of minds, with an intense global interaction, but without losing their indivuality, and thus conserving the ability tp stay aware of, and to consciously control reality, each individual at the highest possible intellectual level."

Is the Matrix upon us?

Global Mind Control Slated For Humanity By 2004: "By Spring 2004, an invasive mind control technology known as a 'Frequency Fence' is slated for implementation onto global society. This Frequency Fence is a bio-neurological, electromagnetic induced form of mind control which will block your higher sensory abilities. A literal 'perceptual harness' or 'mental prison' will be built around you without you even knowing it is happening, and the scariest part is, your five senses will not alert to you that anything is wrong."

Interspecies Global Mind: "The honey badger uses the black throated honey guide as its surveillance craft. The bird cruises the forest hunting a bee hive, then, chattering and darting, leads the badger to its find. The clawed beast tears apart the tough walls of the hive, and both honey guide and badger share in a wax-comb-and-honey repast1 .When black-capped chickadees spot danger and shriek their mobbing call, ten other bird species recognize the signal and prepare to flee or to defend their all2 .Off the shores of Costa Rica, tuna and dolphins hunt together, meshing information to increase the harvest of their prey. Seabirds watch their movements carefully and follow in their wake, waiting for them to churn a school of fish to the surface so they, too, can partake. Fishermen scrutinize the movements of the seabirds and from them learn where the meaty tuna and the dolphin churn"

Dictionary of Philosophy of Mind - quantum consciousness: "1. Free will. Many people are convinced that humans have free will, and yet are also convinced that the Newtonian-mechanical goings-on of things as large as neurons makes no room for free will. They thus turn to quantum mechanics in the hope that the non-determinism of the collapse of the wave function will provide a foot in the door for free will. Of course the wave function collapse is, according to current theory, random, and it is not clear that this is any better than determinism when it comes to explaining free will. Nevertheless, the hope seems to be that, at least in some cases, consciousness exerts its influence on the world through effecting some collapses, presumable some in the brain somewhere, in one way rather than another."

Same old story: "We call these substances consciousness expanding agents, well now, if consciousness does not play a major part in the future history of our species, then what kind of a future history are we talking about? Are we going to become stupider? duller? more animal-like? I don't think so. Consciousness is our defining quality and it must be nourished, encouraged, catalyzed--never more so than now because we have a planet in peril. The entire evolutionary enterprise may rest on the kinds of decisions we make about how we order and carry out our priorities over the next 50 years. "

Tragedy of the commons - Wikipedia: "Tragedy of the commons is a metaphor that illustrates the sub-optimal use or even destruction of public resources by private interests when the best strategy for individuals conflicts with the common good. The metaphor is used to argue in favour of private property and against theories such as libertarian socialism which aim at communal ownership of resources. "

Designing New Buildings for Historic Settings: "Modern architects who intentionally ignore the character of existing neighborhoods and cities are guilty of neglecting the visual heritage and tradition that defines a place and its people. Whether that place is a rural environment or a busy urban street, each place has a story to tell that speaks to our national heritage. Each place in our built environment arouses distinct associations that signify where we as individuals or as a nation have journeyed. Each place with which we are familiar should be viewed as a link to the future not as a barrier to it."

Keeping up with . . .: "Contextualism has three major variants; formal, informal, and holistic. Formal contextualism is seldom a popular topic with designers. Practised by most housing commissions, formal contextualism is often seen as overly restrictive and simplistic. It involves the legal restriction of window heights, building setbacks, overhangs, and acceptable colours or materials."

Design Principals

Design Principals: "This is quite apart from contextualism, which is an important principle in design and planning of a campus. Contextualism usually dictates that the choice of material and style must be sympathetic to surrounding buildings rather than just the form. Attention to line, shape, and profile may be based on context or upon other variables. Contextualism has been a valuable concept in campus design and it implies a concern for the building users as part of the building's context. "

The Om Factor By Christopher Hawthorne

Meditate on how the architecture world is turning, from ostentatious Liebeskind-like spires or EMP-inspired explosions of bended metal, to minimilastic, Zen "shelters."
