What is that graphic near the top of Philosophistry? (A Visual Walk-Through on BlogFabrics)

BlogFabrics

Click here to understand the basics of BlogFabrics, which are the graphical hodgepodges that head the top of every post's page on Philosophistry.

I created this tutorial after discovering that my biggest fan Peter did not even understand how they work or what they do. This is a shame, because it's one of my most treasured pieces of Philosophistry, and is something that I haven't seen done anywhere else.

Peter also lent me Edward Tufte's academic, but compelling, Visual Explanations, which inspired and guided me in creating this walk-through.

Stay tuned for advanced theory about BlogFabrics, including its "cognitive gift" as a "nostalgia generator" and its ability to slow time down!!

BTW, Internet Explorer is crap for not displaying cascading style sheets to spec. There is also an interesting debate between Memetics Marketeer Seth Godin and Edward Tufte over the effective usage of PowerPoint.

This will probably fix your IE stylesheet issues - it has for some of my sites.
