Phillip, thanks for responding to my story, "Imagine Me and You, I Do," and for mentioning it on your blog. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed it, and I'd also be pleased to hear responses, negative or positive, from other readers.

Incidentally, the story mentions a novel written by Heather, which the narrator says has been accepted by a Toronto publisher. That novel, "Adam's Peak," is now out. And, as I say in the story with a bit of understatement, I admire it a lot. An excerpt is available at Heather's web site, www.heatherburt.ca.

I agree with your well put observations about living for the moment. Perhaps, after all, you should consider testing out academics with a few philosophy courses.
